[January 4, 2007] up until now, the site has been set so that even though it tells you that you will get an email after you register, it cannot send one.  i realize this is confusing to a newcomer.  so what i have had to do is send each of you your passwords individually.  thats no problem with this small number members, but as the network grows, you can imagine that it will get out of hand.   fear not - it will be fixed soon.  so that means new people will actually get emails when they sign up.
